Bre Krahn is a Canadian author from Winnipeg, Manitoba. In 2021 she published her debut children’s picture book Honest Holly (Winner of the 2023 RW Award). Bre’s greatest passion is writing fantasy, but during a difficult “writer’s block”, she found another passion project: writing children’s books and creating digital illustrations.
Bre has loved writing and art since she was in elementary school and would thrive in her English classes. And often worked towards her goal of writing a novel, but never followed her dream—until 2021. In 2021 Bre started to pursue her writing professionally. While working full-time at a mental health hospital as a rehab assistant, Bre diligently worked on her upcoming fantasy novel and her picture book: Honest Holly.
Currently, Bre is working as a writer full-time, while working as a casual rehab assistant at a local hospital; she also attends university in hopes to obtain her English BA, specializing in creative writing.
Bre has always called Winnipeg home, where she enjoys her time writing, illustrating, working out, and spending time with family, her loving partner, friends, and her loving cat, Jimmy.
